(hmm is that a word combo? oh well)...and went on and got one section of my family done in no time flat..whew! that was quick. I uploaded it to my computer (I am now using a Mac so have REunion now...I miss Family Tree Maker - sigh)...NONE of the misc info that I added on Ancestry's program...ie my "father used to take his shoes off on Saturday night and drove us crazy cutting his toenails..." You know, quaint little tails you want the whole world to know were uploaded to my computer. Can you hear a big "GRRRRRR" FROM me?

I made some corrections in my gedcom on MY COMPUTER...duh...and I went to d/l the file again on Ancestry.com and nothing was accepted...in fact, another new file was set up...and in it you could find absolutely no ancestors. Yes, I was born in a test tube...which explains so much.

Suffice it to say....Ancestry.com 1. Owes some of us a BIG BIG APOLOGY NOT TO MENTION THE LOSS OF DATA...AND OUR TIME DOING THE RESEARCH...WHCH THEY DON'T SEEM TO HAVE ON THEIR COMPUTERS.

2. AND AS OF THIS DATE..THEY STILL HAVEN'T FIXED THIS PROBLEM...AND I AM PRETTY TICKED OFF....

OOPSIE...caps...could you tell I was a bit angry?

Lynn Robinson
San Diego, CA
3-30-07Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
